I always wanted to be an athlete. Or a footballer, or even a cricketer. But I never excelled at sports.

This was a crushing blow to me.

I then discovered, the day before my 17th birthday, that I had asthma. Not just any old asthma, but exercise induced asthma. On top of that, after suffering my nth major sprain, I found out I also suffer with hypermobility syndrome.

Despite this, I have completed the London Marathon. Twice.

This page was set up to track my journey towards the 2012 London Marathon, where I hoped to break the 4 hour barrier. I didn’t manage it. Whilst I don’t plan on putting myself through the training for a full marathon again, I still want to run under 1 hour 50 minutes over 13.1 miles.
