Yet another virus decides to use my body as a host.
I’d completed my first 30+ mile week since August 2015. I was gobsmacked it had been that long, too. But I was absolutely buzzing. I rested last Monday, despite feeling fine to carry on, only to wake up on Tuesday with swollen tonsils.
Since then, I’ve had the weird feeling of being on an ‘upper’ yet drained through illness. The virus itself is horrendous. I even ended up with eczema on my face!
A week on, I’m nowhere near fit enough to exercise. I’m so frustrated, because I just want to run!
Surely I’ve had enough illness by now! Give me a break!
