Breathe again…

I thought that my asthma was under control.

I thought that I was having to increase my meds, which my asthma nurse had said I should do if needed, was due to the persistent colds.

But I was told off in my asthma review.

Increasing my meds was supposed to be short term. Apparently. So, I’ve been put on to a stronger dosage inhaler. Which has actually helped,  because it’s always the way that you don’t actually realise you’ve been struggling until you stop it. It was like the first time I wore glasses, and realised that I was unable to see.

You adapt.

You cope.

You do what you have to do.

And yet again, I’ve failed myself. Totally.
