Bring on the bacon – this runner needs to “ketchup” with the good news

Well, what can I say? I’m late to the party here, but I read this article over the weekend, highlighting the virtues of bacon for runners.

This is wonderful news for me. I love a bacon sarnie. It’s one of the reasons I couldn’t be a veggie. Now, I can indulge in a post-parkrun Saturday treat, guilt-free!

Of course, bacon isn’t just for breakfast. It’s a great addition to a number of dishes. Why not try my recipe for Bacon and Pea Risotto, or use bacon instead of pancetta (it’s practically the same thing) in Spaghetti Carbonara?
